It is rather getting a tad ridiculous as this tankōbon literally spans six minutes of the game. For the most part, the game between Shohoku High School and Ryonan High School was narrated and depicted rather well. This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue. However, with only two minutes left, Sendoh reduces the gap to only two points and Hisashi Mitsui suddenly falls unconscious. Rukawa and Sendoh continue scoring making, alternately expanding and reducing Shohoku's advantage. Sendoh continues to contain both Kaede Rukawa and Hanamichi Sakuragi, and Ryota Miyagi has problems defending and commits fouls.
The high performances from Uozumi and Sendoh allow them to reduce Shohoku's lead to only ten points. Uozumi manages to reduce Ryonan's disadvantage with help from Akira Sendoh, and continues rebounding most of Shohoku's missed shots. As such, Coach Moichi Taoka of the Ryonan team is forced to make Jun Uozumi return to the game. With Ryota Miyagi scoring, Shohoku continues to lead by almost fifteen points.
The tankōbon continues the game of Shohoku High School and Ryonan High School. 20 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (171–179) of the on-going manga series.
